Javob: The container provides a well-ventilated dark box with front opening and perforations that have the ideal number of holes for air circulation. -

What is the capacity of the container?
Javob: It can hold up to 4 pounds of potatoes depending on their size. -

How many potatoes does this hold?
Javob: Depends on size of the potatoes but I had a 5 pound bag of Russets in with no problem. -

Can these be stacked?
Javob: Yes, they stack nicely. I have two stacked, one with potatoes and one with onions. -

Does the front opening stay well close when your potatoes are in it or does it open all the time?
Javob: No, I am not happy w/the product and I’ve bought 2 of these. First of all, the lock never closed and locked properly and one of the front open lock is broken within a month of use. I will not recommend it. -

Can these keep bugs out?
Javob: I have no idea because we have a pest control company come every 3 months. However, based on the design, bugs can get in easily. -

How many pounds of potatoes can this hold?
Javob: Maybe 5 lbs out of a bag, tight fit. -

Is the plastic food-grade?
Javob: Junky. -

Can you open it from the top?
Javob: You have to open it from the side. The top does not open independently from the side. -

Where is this made?
Javob: I truly cannot answer that question but I love mine. Bought to put into our travel trailer when traveling and enjoyed the convenience so much I moved them into the house when we are not traveling. Buy them you won't regret it. -

Are the vent holes small enough to keep mice out?
Javob: Yes they are. The door should snap closed enough to keep them out. This is not big, holds almost 5 lbs potatoes. -
Savol:
Could this be turned on its backside so it opens from the top?
Javob: Yes, but the top is like a lid as well so you have to be sure it's snapped on. This is quite small, not much thicker than a shoebox and not as long. It is also slightly angled sid.
