It is not recommended for cutting glass wine bottles as the opening, even without the water pan, is too small. For cutting geodes, the Taurus 3 can be used, but using a lapidary blade sold separately is recommended to prevent premature blade wear. In terms of noise, the saw is loud, as expected from a saw. It is recommended to use ear protectors while operating the tool. As for safety concerns, while contact with the diamond blade may cause abrasions, it is unlikely to cause severe damage if fingers are moved away in time.
