Drama Editorial Review
Performance (1970); This film is an audacious blend of disparate lifestyles, art forms, and storytelling styles. Directed by Nicolas Roeg, this movie features remarkable performances, especially by Mick Jagger, whose complex portrayal brings depth to the character of Turner. The movie captures the essence of a transformed gangster, Chas, played by James Fox, who finds himself drawn into the chaotic world of rock and rebellion. Critics praise it for its surreal, thought-provoking scenes that challenge conventional narratives, making it a landmark in 1970s British cinema. 'Performance' leaves viewers reflecting long after the credits roll, embodying an innovative spirit amidst its eclectic visuals and themes.
