The Platypus SoftBottle is a durable and convenient water bottle that is ideal for outdoor activities and travel. It can be used with the Sawyer mini and has a blue ring for connecting to clean water sources and has a regular screw cap. The bottle can be hand washed and can hold hot and cold water, but the user must keep in mind to carry the bottle inside his pack to provide insulation. The dimensions of the bottle bulge out to about 1.5" when filled with water, and it can be stored in a freezer. The bottle is recommended for backpacking trips and outdoor activities and comes in a 1-liter size. The product can be challenging to clean, but that is to be expected. Some customers expressed their satisfaction with the product and found it portable, lightweight, and easy to drink from. Others, however, had a problem with the plastic in the base cracking and leaking after a few months of use. The customer service was excellent and replaced the damaged bottles for free, which raised their rating to five stars. Also, it tends to bend over as the water level goes down, and some thought it was pricey for a plastic bottle.
