Vera Hubs & Controllers Editorial Review

The Vera Control VeraPlus-US Smart Home Controller has elicited a diverse set of reviews from users. The device requires an initial web registration to activate and update firmware, but once that's done, it can function without an internet connection for some services. However, some operations like cloud-to-cloud connections will not work. Users can connect to the controller through the local network by typing in its IP address. On the positive side, the User Interface is intuitive, the device works flawlessly for many users, and it has been successful in replacing other Z-Wave hubs. Additionally, users have mentioned the excellent technical support from Vera, which has helped them through the transition and provided guidance and configuration support. However, there are criticisms too, with one user expressing dissatisfaction with the support, citing a case open for more than 5 months. Another user was disappointed after being told that a feature advertised as Bluetooth compatible was disabled and the controller was not Bluetooth compatible. Overall, experiences seem to be a mixture of both satisfaction and dissatisfaction, with many highlighting the effectiveness of the product itself, despite some customer service issues. **
