About This Item

The AmScope B120A Siedentopf Binocular Compound Microscope is the perfect tool for enhancing the resolution of your specimens. With 40X-1600X Magnification, this microscope comes packed with a host of impressive features. The Siedentopf binocular head features interchangeable pairs of 10x widefield and 16x widefield eyepieces with easy-to-use Siedentopf inter-pupillary adjustment, a fixed 30-degree vertical inclination for reducing eye strain, and a 360-degree rotation capability to provide a comprehensive view and enable sharing.

Plus, with dioptric adjustment, individual eye-strength differences are no longer a hindrance. The forward-facing nosepiece has four DIN achromatic objectives, including 4x, 10x, 40xS (spring), and 100xS (spring, oil) for magnifying images at eight different levels. The 40xS objective is spring-loaded to prevent slide damage, while the 100xS spring-loaded oil objective provides increased clarity. The lower (diascopic) Brightfield illumination transmits light up through the specimen for enhanced visibility of translucent and transparent objects.

Brightfield (BF) illumination ensures the specimen absorbs light, resulting in a dark image on a light background. The microscope features LED illumination that provides bright, cool light for working with temperature-sensitive or live specimens. The 1.25 NA Abbe condenser can be adjusted to control the distance of the light from the stage and has an iris diaphragm to optimize the amount of light illuminating the specimen.
