The Brown Sugar Keeper is a container with a terra cotta disk inside the lid that can be soaked in water and keeps brown sugar moist. The product is FDA approved and BPA free, and it is freezer safe. However, it does not have a built-in leveler. The silicone seal may fall off the lid, but the manufacturer may replace it. It can be used to store granulated sugar, but it only holds 1 lb or less. Also, the shaker screen is not really fine. The product is rated highly by customers, who have confirmed that it is effective in keeping brown sugar soft, although it may not work for everyone. One customer found the container heavy and without a handle. Another customer reported that their brown sugar still dried up in the container.
